Introduction

     Hello I'm Megan Colleran. During my high school years I spent much of my time with my family and in my home. I realized then just how deeply affected a child is by their family and how necessary a true home is. Families that reside in homes provide the perfect emotional environment for growth. I would not be the person I am without my mother and father.
     When I left my home and had to create my own, I began to understand the value of what my mother and father had taught me over the years. I began to see how necessary some of those skills and characteristics were to survive in life. Through my experiences I began to form a dream. My dream is to teach teenagers how to create their own homes, especially those teens who's houses are not homes and their parents do not make family life meaningful. Every child deserves the right to have a home with their family; whether it is with the family they are raised in or the family they raise.
